Flower Delivery Melbourne: Same-Day Cut-Offs and Fees

Quick answer
- All three florists offer same-day delivery to eligible Melbourne metro addresses.
- Check the recipient's postcode and available date before paying.
- Fees and weekend options differ between florists.
All three national online florists we checked deliver same day across Melbourne metro, and Fig & Bloom runs its customer care on Melbourne time. The differences are in the cut-offs (1pm for two of them, 5pm for home addresses with the third), Sunday delivery and how Geelong is handled. Everything below was checked on the florists' own websites on 30 October 2026.
FlowersDelivery.com.au is an independent guide operated by Dominet BV. We're not a florist and we don't take orders. No link on this site is an affiliate link right now. We may earn a commission from florists in future when a reader orders through a link on this site. If that happens we'll label those links and explain it in our affiliate disclosure, and it won't change the facts we publish. Prices, cut-offs and fees were checked on each florist's own website on 30 October 2026 and can change, so confirm them at checkout. Read our general information notice. For Melbourne orders, check the postcode and delivery date before choosing your flowers.
Who delivers same day in Melbourne
Start with the recipient's address. A Melbourne metro offer doesn't mean every address or arrangement qualifies. Enter the postcode and select the flowers to see whether today's date is available.
The table uses Fig & Bloom's Shipping Policy and FAQ, Floraly's Delivery Information, and Flowers for Everyone's Delivery Info. All times and fees in it were checked on those pages on 30 October 2026.
| Florist | Same-day weekday cut-off | Saturday | Sunday | Delivery fee as published |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fig & Bloom | Before 1pm local time, subject to checkout availability | Before 1pm local time | No delivery | FAQ quotes a flat $19.95, including same-day. Shipping Policy says checkout shows the fee for your order and address. |
| Floraly | Before 1pm for selected flowers and eligible Melbourne metro addresses | Check the date picker, no Melbourne Saturday same-day cut-off listed on Delivery Information | Check the date picker | Calculated at checkout for the recipient's address |
| Flowers for Everyone | Residential before 5pm. Business before 2pm on Delivery Info, but 1pm on Shipping Policy. Schools before 9am. | Residential before 2pm. Check business arrangements. No school delivery. | Residential before 2pm. Check business arrangements. No school delivery. | Standard $22.95, excluding public holidays, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day |
Floraly's FAQ and Delivery Information page give slightly different same-day cut-offs. Use the date picker to check your actual order. For a wider comparison of the same companies, see our flower delivery comparison.
Cut-off times and the local time rule
Order against the destination's clock. Floraly explicitly uses the destination's local time, while Fig & Bloom specifies local time for its metro service. If you're sending from elsewhere, check Melbourne time before placing the order.
A same-day cut-off is the deadline to place an eligible order. It isn't an arrival appointment. Having today's date available also doesn't tell you that the flowers will reach a workplace before the recipient leaves.
Fig & Bloom's FAQ lists customer care hours as Monday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm Melbourne time, checked on 30 October 2026. Those are contact hours, separate from its ordering deadline. If you need help with access or delivery instructions, check the order details while customer care is available.
Geelong needs a separate check. Fig & Bloom's FAQ and Shipping Policy describe Geelong delivery through StarTrack's next-day service, with regional courier runs on business days. Don't assume the Melbourne metro same-day offer applies there. Our same-day delivery guide explains how to check an area before ordering.
Delivery fees and minimum orders in Melbourne
Compare the amount payable after entering the address. A bouquet price alone doesn't tell you the delivery charge, and a published standard fee may have exclusions.
Fig & Bloom's FAQ quotes a flat delivery fee of $19.95, with the same charge for same-day delivery, checked on 30 October 2026. Its Shipping Policy instead directs you to the fee shown at checkout for the order and address. Use that checkout amount when working out your total.
Floraly's Delivery Information says delivery charges depend on the recipient's address and are calculated at checkout. Check the full amount after choosing the destination and date, rather than assuming its charge matches another florist's.
Flowers for Everyone's Delivery Info lists standard delivery at $22.95 and a minimum order of $54.95 to check out, checked on 30 October 2026. The standard fee excludes public holidays, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. Check the charge for your selected date before paying.
Keep the minimum order and delivery charge separate when comparing costs. If you're weighing up different bouquet sizes, our flower delivery cost guide can help you think through the full order rather than the displayed flower price alone.
Weekend, public holiday and special-day orders
Fig & Bloom offers Saturday metro delivery where checkout makes the date available, but doesn't deliver on Sundays. If you want to use that florist for a Sunday occasion, consider Saturday and check that the recipient can receive the flowers then.
Floraly's Delivery Information publishes a weekday same-day rule for Melbourne. It says public holidays and special dates can differ. Check the date picker for weekend availability instead of applying another city's Saturday arrangements to Melbourne.
Flowers for Everyone publishes weekend residential delivery. Its Shipping Policy says weekend orders placed by 2pm arrive by 6pm, checked on 30 October 2026. Standard delivery doesn't promise a specific arrival time, so confirm any requirement tied to an event before paying.
For public holidays, Valentine's Day or Mother's Day, recheck both the available date and the fee. Flowers for Everyone excludes those dates from its standard delivery charge. Don't carry a price from an ordinary delivery date into a special-day order.
When no one is home
Give the florist the recipient's phone details and useful access instructions when ordering. Check whether there's a suitable place to leave the flowers, and tell the recipient if access depends on someone answering the door.
Fig & Bloom's Shipping Policy says a redelivery fee may apply if the address is wrong, or nobody is home and there's no safe place to leave the order. It says no fee applies when the failed attempt was its fault. Saturday metro orders may be left without a signature in a reasonable place.
The same policy names Fairfield as a studio for pickup after a failed delivery. That is a failed-delivery option, so check the arrangements with Fig & Bloom before travelling there.
Flowers for Everyone lists Click and Collect at Yarraville in its Delivery Info. If collection suits you, confirm the available order and collection arrangements. For delivery, ask about failed attempts and any redelivery charge before ordering. Its redelivery arrangements need checking directly with the florist.
Hospitals, offices and schools
For a hospital, check with the florist and the receiving location before ordering. Confirm that flowers can be accepted and ask what recipient details and delivery instructions are needed. Don't use a residential delivery deadline as evidence that a hospital can receive the order.
Flowers for Everyone's pages disagree on business cut-offs. Delivery Info says before 2pm, while Shipping Policy says 1pm, checked on 30 October 2026. If the flowers are going to an office, ask which rule applies to your Melbourne address before relying on the later deadline.
Its Shipping Policy lists weekday delivery by 5pm for businesses and 3pm for schools, checked on 30 October 2026. Its school ordering deadline is before 9am Monday to Friday, with no weekend school delivery, according to Delivery Info and Shipping Policy, checked on 30 October 2026.
Confirm reception hours and the recipient's availability. For Fig & Bloom or Floraly, check workplace and school arrangements directly before placing an order for those destinations.
Sympathy and funeral deliveries in Melbourne
Decide whether the flowers should go to a service or to the family home. Fig & Bloom's sympathy page asks for the funeral home, service date and time, and family name. It suggests the family home if you're unsure.
Floraly's sympathy page says flowers arrive in bud, especially lilies, and suggests delivery a few days before a funeral so they can open. Ask about the flowers' condition if they need to be ready for display at the service. Our sympathy and funeral flowers guide covers choosing what to send and where it should go.
Before you order
Use this checklist before paying, especially if the order needs to reach someone at work or at a service.
- Address: Enter the recipient's postcode and confirm that your chosen bouquet can reach that address on the selected date.
- Timing: Check the destination's local time and any separate business or school rule. Ask about arrival requirements before relying on standard delivery.
- Total: Review the bouquet, delivery charge and any minimum order at checkout. Check special-day exclusions.
- Access: Include recipient contact details and clear instructions. Ask what happens if nobody can accept the flowers.
- Collection: Confirm the pickup arrangement with the florist before making a trip.
- Choice: Read the arrangement details and substitution terms. Our guide to choosing a florist can help you compare what matters for your recipient.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get flowers delivered in Melbourne today?
All three florists offer same-day delivery to eligible Melbourne metro addresses. Availability depends on the florist's cut-off, the address and, for Floraly, the selected flowers. Enter the postcode and check today's date before paying.
Which of these florists delivers on Sunday?
Flowers for Everyone lists Sunday residential delivery in Melbourne. Fig & Bloom doesn't deliver on Sundays. For Floraly, check the date picker because its Delivery Information page doesn't publish a Melbourne Sunday same-day cut-off.
Is same-day delivery an exact arrival time?
No. An ordering deadline tells you when to place the order. Flowers for Everyone says standard delivery can't promise specific times. If an arrival time matters, check the arrangement directly with the florist before ordering.
Can I collect flowers in Melbourne?
Flowers for Everyone lists Click and Collect at Yarraville. Fig & Bloom names Fairfield for pickup after a failed delivery. Confirm the relevant arrangements before travelling, since these are different collection situations.
Does Melbourne same-day delivery include Geelong?
Don't assume it does. Fig & Bloom describes Geelong delivery through StarTrack's next-day service, with regional courier runs on business days. Check the postcode and available delivery date for the actual address.
