How Much Does Flower Delivery Cost in Australia?

A bouquet listed at $85 is rarely an $85 order. Add a published delivery fee of $19.95 or $22.95, a card or a timed delivery window, and the total moves quickly. On 30 October 2026 the three florists we checked published three different approaches to delivery fees: a flat $22.95, a fee worked out from the address, and a page that gave both a flat $19.95 and "the fee shown at checkout". Here's how each part of the price works, with every figure taken from the florists' own websites on that date.

These examples come from different collections, so they don't tell you what the same bouquet would cost at each florist. Delivery fees explained

Fig & Bloom's pages give different guidance. Its FAQ quotes a flat delivery fee of $19.95 and says same-day delivery costs the same, checked on 30 October 2026. Its Shipping Policy directs you to the fee shown at checkout for your order and address. Use that checkout amount for your budget rather than assuming the FAQ figure will apply.

Floraly's Delivery Information page, checked on 30 October 2026, says the recipient's address determines the delivery charge. It calculates that charge at checkout. A bouquet listing therefore leaves part of your total unanswered until you've entered the destination.

Flowers for Everyone's Delivery Info page lists standard delivery at $22.95 Monday to Sunday, checked on 30 October 2026. That rate excludes public holidays, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. Its page doesn't say what the fee is on those days, so check the charge for your date at checkout. Standard delivery doesn't promise a specific arrival time.

Check what happens if delivery fails, too. Fig & Bloom's Shipping Policy says a redelivery fee may apply if you've given the wrong address, or nobody is home and there's no safe place to leave the flowers. It says no fee applies if the failed attempt was its fault. Check any redelivery charge before arranging another attempt.

Bouquet prices

A starting price is a guide to a listing, not a quote for every size or arrangement. Fig & Bloom's same-day page listed bouquets from $85, from $113 and from $119, checked on 30 October 2026. Its sympathy collection listed items from $79 up to $298, with a wreath from $129, checked on the same date. Those collection prices give you examples to browse, not a single price for sending flowers.

Floraly's Perth collection listed bouquets at $65 to $179 before a sitewide percentage promotion, checked on 30 October 2026. Its sympathy collection listed items at $69 to $149 before promotion, checked on the same date. Promotions change, so compare the current listing and checkout total instead of treating an earlier promotional price as your budget.

Flowers for Everyone's sympathy collection had examples listed at $119.95 to $239.95, checked on 30 October 2026. These are sympathy collection examples, so they shouldn't stand in for the price of every bouquet the company sells.

For a funeral or sympathy order, decide where the flowers need to go before comparing prices. Fig & Bloom's sympathy page asks for the funeral home, service date and time, and family name for a service delivery. If you're unsure, it suggests the family home. Extras that add to the total

An extra is only useful if it suits the recipient or the delivery you need. Check what's included in the selected product before adding a separate item, and review the basket again before you pay.

Floraly's Delivery Information page displayed an optional delivery window for an extra $10, checked on 30 October 2026. Treat that as an addition to the order, separate from the address-based delivery charge. Read the available window details at checkout before deciding if it meets your needs.

Fig & Bloom's sympathy collection listed cards at $9.95, checked on 30 October 2026. If you choose one, include it in your budget rather than comparing only flowers and delivery. Check what message options come with the arrangement before selecting a separate card.

For a vase or pot, read the product description rather than assuming a container is included. Fig & Bloom's same-day page listed potted plants at $55, $89 and $195 including pots, checked on 30 October 2026. Those are plant prices with pots included, not standalone vase prices. Check the current product page for any separate vase charge on the arrangement you're considering.

Cancelling and changing: costs to know

Check the recipient's address, delivery date and arrangement before paying. A change of plans can leave you with a cost even if the original checkout total suited your budget.

Flowers for Everyone's FAQ, checked on 30 October 2026, says earlier cancellations incur a $20 fee. It doesn't allow cancellation and refund with less than 24 hours' notice before delivery. Check that policy against your intended delivery date before placing an order you may need to cancel.

Floraly's Delivery & Refunds page says orders can't be cancelled and it doesn't accept returns or change of mind. Its FAQ also says arrangements can't be changed and lilies can't be removed. If a particular flower is unsuitable, resolve that before ordering rather than relying on a later alteration.

Fig & Bloom's Refund Policy says it may refuse change-of-mind returns for made-to-order flowers. That's separate from a complaint about flowers that aren't right. Don't treat a change-of-mind restriction as the full answer to a quality problem.

Ways to keep the cost down

Compare complete baskets for the same recipient and delivery date. A lower listed bouquet price doesn't tell you which order will have the lower final total once delivery and chosen extras are included.

Order before the relevant cut-off so you can assess the available delivery choices. Fig & Bloom's Shipping Policy lists same-day metro ordering before 1pm local time, Monday to Saturday, for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane where checkout offers the date, checked on 30 October 2026. Ordering early doesn't lower the price, but it keeps the standard options open.

Choose standard delivery where it's offered and suits the occasion. Before paying for a window, decide if you need that option. If your date is flexible, compare another date with a special-day order. Flowers for Everyone excludes public holidays, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day from its published standard rate. What you're entitled to if the flowers aren't right

The ACCC's consumer rights and guarantees page says Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply automatically. Products must be of acceptable quality and match their description. Services must be provided with due care and skill, and within a reasonable time if no time was agreed.

A business can't remove these rights with a no-refunds sign. The ACCC also says gift recipients have the same rights. Contact the business first if there's a problem, and explain how the flowers or delivery fell short. A company's change-of-mind policy doesn't remove these consumer guarantees.
